Lighthouse
Centre Woodville (LCW) is a meditation retreat centre situated east of
the Manawatu Gorge in the green heartland of the North Island. The
simple and peaceful lifestyle at the retreat centre provides an
atmosphere naturally conducive to meditation and inner growth. This
spiritual path practiced by the volunteers and visitors goes
hand-in-hand with the principle of helping and serving each other as an
important part of the LCW lifestyle.
LCW
operates its own garden and orchard providing fresh produce for the
kitchen. Tasty, wholesome vegetarian buffet meals from nature’s bounty
are enjoyed daily. A restful library area is available for visitors to
unwind and find inspiration from a wide range of spiritual music and
literature on the inner light and sound. Comfortable rooms that can
accommodate several guests are available for your stay.
Visitors
from New Zealand, Australia and around the world are welcome to take a
retreat at this sanctuary to focus on their spiritual development.
Lighthouse
Centre Woodville is open all year and hosts four national retreats
annually, regular training sessions and special events. Visitors from
the local community come by regularly, while overseas guests visit
whenever possible for personal retreats.
Transport is available for guests arriving at Palmerston North’s international airport or national connections. If
